A Vision 20 Years In The Making

OUR STORY

The Creative Healing Arts Center (CHAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located on a 433-acre ranch in the Northern New Mexico community of Tres Piedras, adjacent to 250,000 acres of the Carson National Forest.

Our vision is to create a place where creative expression, environmental stewardship, and the healing arts come together, supporting harmony within individuals, communities, and the natural world.

For more than two decades, this vision has been held as a seed. Founder David Elliott envisioned a center rooted in the belief that healing one person at a time contributes to healing the world. When the land in Tres Piedras came into view, he recognized it as the right place to hold this long-term vision. In 2012, together with four founding partners, the land was purchased and the Creative Healing Arts Center was formally established as a nonprofit organization. For many years, the land has been carefully stewarded and preserved with patience and intention.

Now, the Center enters its next chapter. With the land held in trust and the vision clarified, CHAC is beginning the process of building the facilities that will allow the land to serve the broader community as a sanctuary for connection to self and the natural world.
